In the densely populated village of Lech (hotel resorts and skiers), surrounding hikes during the warmer months and excellent ski-slopes during the Winter are on offer, but it is hard to pull yourself away from all that Hotel Aurelio Lech has to offer. Its professional, friendly and highly efficient staff, makes a stay here flawless. Recently voted as the best luxury boutique hotel by a guide of hotel experts, the hotel shows why it is a world-class destination – beating out other five-star hotels in the region. There are 18 rooms to choose from – doubles and suites, but the double rooms are more than ample and very spacious with a huge bathroom with two basins, bathtub and shower opening into the bedroom. There is a separate en suite, large closet area and of course a beautiful bedroom overlooking the village of Lech. The furnishings of the room match the surroundings – lots of wood and handcrafted furniture, bookcase, comfortable large bed, mini-fridge (which is all-inclusive), large plasma TV and toiletries by Hermes. The turn-down service is highly efficiently which makes you want to utilize the 24-hour concierge service. All rooms have a balcony area. The restaurant deserves a mention with a very flexible and ‘ready-to-please' staff. Make sure you choose correctly – the gourmet menu and dishes are reminiscent of a good Michelin-experience – while other dishes could be simple alpine food. Wine selection could be more diverse but you will need to go by the bottle to experience a larger range. The wellness centre is the highlight for such a small hotel – good sized gym, large indoor swimming pool, multiple saunas, serenity room, spa and massage facilities on offer. Your wish is the Aurelio's command – go hiking with Alpaca’s, have a luxury car shuttle service to nearby mountains – throw anything at them and you will get it. One of the best.

Why do people love staying in your hotel? What people love is the Aurelio experience. The Aurelio experience is tricky to describe because you have to feel it. Aurelio is home. It is free from dress code and agenda. Every single team member give their absolute best to ensure guests at Aurelio have a carefree and unique holiday. Of course we provide luxurious rooms, extensive SPA areas, an awarded restaurant and ski in and ski out. However, at the end of the day, it is all about the people. The people you travel with, the first smile of the receptionist, the friendly waiter and the funny bartender. Oh and not to forget – the girls that leave some fresh fruits and chocolates next to your bed after making up your room. Thanks to the generous size of the rooms it is possible to relax and unwind in the guest room or on balcony without feeling cramped. True ski-in/ ski-out further allows a world-class skiing experience. What is there to do in the area? The Aurelio offers an option for everyone. You can have a spring detox week & daily yoga, or a winter action experience including heli-skiing, ski paragliding and a tobogganing run in the night, or a summer hiking & fishing week with alpacas. Surrounded by the scenic mountains – with the best food, music events and a furry alpaca gang in the garden – nothing else will be desired. What kind of breakfast do you offer? We offer an extensive breakfast buffet with basic breakfast product (such as jams, honey, cereals, yoghurts, spreads, breakfast juices, bread rolls, crisp bread, danish pastries, butter selection, …). All other dishes are freshly prepared and served, such as cold cuts & cheese selections, fresh vegetables, picked vegetables, smoked salmon trout, all kinds of egg dishes, crêpes, porridge, milk & milk shakes, fresh fruit platters, fresh squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, wellness- & whey drinks, coffee, Althaus tea selection, hot chocolate, prosecco, etc. In general, all desired dishes can be ordered. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Food at the Aurelio´s gourmet restaurant is created by “3 Hauben” awarded chef, Christian Rescher and his protégée, Markus Niederwanger. The wonderful delicacies are made of Austrian products with international influences. The flagship product is highlighted through the practice of “Natural Art Cuisine”. Their fine dining delicacies reflect the discreet luxury of straightforward dishes in a 3 toques (Guide Michelin) awarded 5 or 10 course gourmet dinner. Apart from that, we offer a frequently changing à la carte menu as well as our table buffet which is a family style dining experience. Which are your most popular room types, and why? Hotel & Chalet Aurelio offers 10 spacious rooms in the Hotel buildings (8 Top Deluxe Double Rooms with 55m² and 2 Aurelio Suites with 110m² each) and the Aurelio Club Chalet with another 6 Deluxe Double Rooms (42m²) and 2 Junior Suites (84m²) that can be rented exclusively. All rooms are individually furnitured and have their own special flair. The cozy atmosphere in our Boutique Hotel is highly appreciated by our guests. What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ? We fit one extra bed in each Top Deluxe Double Room (55m²) and up to two extra beds in the living area of the Aurelio Suite (110m²). We also feature a play room for children. What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? Although the hotel is relatively small, the spacious SPA area with 1,000m² boasts one of the longest pools in the area and plenty space to relax.
"Facilities include sauna cabins, aroma steam rooms, herbal saunas and multi-sensory showers that wouldn’t look out of place in a science-fiction film."
