The Hotel Bergschlössl is all about its location which couldn’t be better. The main lift station and ski school are right outside the door and it looks directly onto the slopes. Renovated in 1997, all rooms and suites are spacious with large bathrooms, good bedrooms for spreading all your ski-gear around, living rooms and a usable kitchenette. All rooms have Macs with home-from-home films, entertainment and WiFi. They also have a collection of old black and white films about the beginning of skiing, life in the Tyrol and St Anton. Very definitely child friendly; there are even stair gates for young children. Useful if you have staggery toddlers, less useful if your children are big enough to hurdle them to get out to the pub. Decorated in traditional Austrian style with plenty of painted furniture, it is nonetheless restrained in feel. Run by an efficient husband and wife team, it is long on cleanliness if a little short on chit-chat. The sauna in the basement is open between 4pm and 7pm. Sunday to Sunday bookings during the season.
