It would be easy to walk straight past the Hotel Bourg Tibourg, but to do so would be to miss a real treat. Set in an unassuming building in a quiet street just off the Rue de Rivoli, the Hotel Bourg Tibourg is a true hidden gem. On entering the property you’re welcomed by the efficient staff on reception and get a first glimpse of the stunning interiors that are present throughout. Rich velvets, deep colours and muted lighting give the whole place a relaxed, sexy and grown up atmosphere. It’s a tour de force from the renowned interiors guru Jacques Garcia whose aim was to turn the small into the grand (connoisseurs of his style will recognise his touch immediately). This vibe is echoed in the bar opposite the front desk, where you’ll find super comfy sofas, a record player and selection of LPs, a good range of glossy mags to browse and yet more luxurious fabrics giving off that aura of opulence and splendour. Also downstairs is a charming little plant filled courtyard with a handful of tables for warmer days. Upstairs the rooms follow a similar theme; deep colours, rich fabrics and spoiling bathrooms. In stark contrast in the new Junior Suites there is a sleek, contemporary theme, but no less luxury. They are clad in smokey wood, both on the floors and walls and the huge bathrooms boast a fabulous soaking tub with views into the courtyard from the floor to ceiling windows. Complimentary Costes toiletries are there to pamper and the room is finished in a smart white stone. There is no restaurant at Hotel Bourg Tibourg, but the breakfast is superb. Amble downstairs to the basement and you’ll find a beautiful breakfast room with vaulted stone ceiling and tapestry clad wall (accessorised by blue velvet sofas and chairs) for a truly medieval vibe. The meal itself is superb — a continental feast of French bread, pastries and fruit; eggs, ham etc are on offer too if you really need more! As much as it is easy to wax lyrical about the beautiful feel and interiors of this place, we mustn’t forget the charming staff; they are unfailingly smiley and helpful, and eager to assist in any way possible. All in all the Hotel Bourg Tibourg is a stunning little find in a great part of town (close to shops, and with most of Paris’s key sights in walking distance). It’s one that feels grown-up and cool and one that I’d recommend again and again. Superb!

Why do people love staying in your hotel?
As soon as you pass through the door, you find yourself divinely surrounded by the exquisite smells and the oriental decors of the Bourg Tibourg. A hidden paradise found at the very centre of the capital, we made it a place to wonder and wander for all our international guests. Some of them find in our hotel the pleasure to enjoy an intimate experience with their loved one while for others, the warm and relaxing atmosphere make it the perfect place to stay during a business trip. Not only does it benefit from the unique setting in which we are located, but the Bourg Tibourg remains for most a special experience in itself.
What is there to do in the area or on site?
The hotel has a unique location in the centre of Paris in one of its most beautiful neighbourhoods, the Marais. At the very heart of art and fashion, the most famous art galleries and museums surround the district. Just to name a few: the Picasso Museum, the Pompidou Center and the Louvre have never been more than within easy reach. Near the hotel, la Rue des Rosiers and Rue des Francs Bourgeois will welcome you with open arms in their profusely fashionable boutiques.
The Place des Vosges, renowned for its beauty and historical legacy becomes the perfect setting to enjoy the fresh air of Paris and is accessible in less than 10 minutes on foot. With a walk along the Seine, while discovering the typical narrow streets overlooked by Haussmann buildings, stopping by our dear Notre Dame de Paris and admiring the Eiffel Tower, your days just become memorable.
Not to mention the little cafés that border the streets where you can easily relax and admire the vivid way of life of Parisians. By bike, bus, foot or subway, the area gives you many options, it is up to you to choose!
What kind of breakfast do you offer?
Our breakfasts are just like what a Parisian breakfast should be! You will find in your continental breakfast some crusty viennoiseries like pain au chocolat, croissant and pain au raisin along to an orange juice, a tea, coffee or hot chocolate, some bread and butter and delicious strawberries and raspberries coming with your plate!
In Bourg Tibourg, we want your mornings to meet pleasure. From scrambled eggs to ham and cheese, a variety of extras are possible coming along your breakfast. Of course, if you are not a big eater, you can choose whatever satisfy you by selecting only some of these items. Your breakfast should also be à la carte!
Do you offer other meals ? And can you recommend good places to eat locally?
Not only do we offer meals but we also have a bar section. Our intimate lobby welcomes you to taste some of our personal selection of drinks. Whether you need a moment for yourself, a romantic place with your partner or a gathering with some friends, we can propose varieties of wines, spirits, cocktails or softer drinks. Along with some Foie gras, cheese plate, smoked salmons and others, you will find yourself having one of the most divine nights in our comfortable antique salon.

As for restaurants, our conciergerie is at your entire disposal to recommend you the gem of Paris. From Asian, Italian to French Cuisine, in Michelin or renowned local restaurants, all our international guests will be charmed to find the very best close to the hotel!
Which are your most popular room types and why?
Our classic and deluxe rooms are the signature of the hotel. Designed by Jacques Garcia, famous interior designer, the rooms have this particular warm and delicate neogothic atmosphere. From the luxurious fabrics covering the walls to the precious antique furniture, the oriental style creates a feeling of intimacy combined with luxury. Our guests can also enjoy the comfort of our bathtubs laying on a precious black mosaic floor.
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms?
For guests coming particularly with their babies, we will provide a baby bed in the room with all the related-equipment needed (in deluxe double rooms and junior suites). We gladly keep strollers that we give back each time it is necessary. As for children, expect to have a little surprise during their arrival. But as it is said, it will remain a secret...
