“The original Hotel du Vin, well located in a fine Georgian building in the town centre. Elegant rooms mixing period features with contemporary design. A warm and welcoming bistro and buzzy bar complete the picture. An excellent base for local exploring.”

Hotel review

The original Hotel du Vin, conceived by Robin Hutson and Gerard Basset, feels as intimate, buzzing and stylish as it did when it opened its doors in 1994, maintaining its air of laid back, affordable luxury and quirky British style. There are 18 rooms in the hotel with 4 garden rooms, offering increased privacy, and 2 further outside rooms, as well as a pretty garden courtyard, an outdoor smoking area and free parking to guests. The Georgian building is attractive, the rooms comfortable and the Bistro restaurant worth a visit in its own right.
