Hotel Review
The name means the star, and there is little doubt that La Vega is in the ascendant. Formerly a simple but stylish pensione, it has transformed over the years into a gorgeous hotel, providing its luxurious neighbours with serious competition. It is now run by the original owner’s son. He and his wife are hands-on hoteliers: caring, committed and living on site. In a candy pink building with white awnings, it has been done out in tasteful traditional style. The 24 all-white bedrooms, enlivened by blue majolica-tiled floors and blue bedspreads, have stunning sea views and spacious balconies, perfect for private breakfasts. A very attractive kidney-shaped pool has been carved out of the hillside, surrounded by a large terrace and plenty of sun loungers. It also has a bar and more dazzling views.
