“Amazing Baroque-Rococco style in this gorgeous 18th century coaching Inn, 5 mins from Nimes TGV and 10 mins from the Roman arena and centre. Rich drapes, soft lighting, totally spoiling with its own spa and outdoor pool surrounded by luxuriant foliage. Relax by the fire. A calming oasis”

Hotel review

If you stay at Jardins Secrets, you can kill three birds with one stone ! First, visit the best preserved Roman arena outside Italy, second be cosseted in romantic and sexy bedrooms and third admire eclectic collections of everything from taxidermy peacocks, gilded monkeys, to grand pianos, to indian murals, to silver, to 18C pictures, glass, furniture and all without a speck of dust. In an ordinary residential street, hidden behind a heavy door is a lush garden with lemon and orange trees, hundred year old olives, fragrant roses and a swimming pool for cooling off, not laps. Entering the building, it’s cool and dark with lights flickering, moving from salon to salon encounter deep comfy chairs, mahout murals and a cornucopia of carefully curated stuff, there’s something here for every taste. Bedrooms are similarly opulent with heavy curtains, dark wallpapers and sexy ambience with large standalone baths and smokey mirrors. It’s definitely catering for the romantic. Breakfast may perhaps be on the pricey side, but ingredients are top quality, freshly squeezed orange juice, creamy yoghurt,, nuts, seeds, crispy bacon, homemade jams all served on fine antique bone china. No restaurant but plenty within walking distance.
