Hotel review

For pure rustic simplicity, a stone's throw from a beautiful near-private beach (partly shared with a chichi hotel), this bungalow is well worth reserving. Amid palm groves and open to the elements, it's a restorative place to completely unwind, immerse yourself in nature and switch off from the outside world. The surroundings will lull you into a state of peace and wellbeing. There are only two rooms offering pretty basic accommodation but with comfortable (if small) double beds. Vinod, the laid back and charismatic manager is an avid conversationalist and serves a tasty breakfast and optional meals. An Ayurveda treatment room is on site and there's 24-hour security allowing you to leave your room open and unattended, anytime. Falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing, exotic birdsong and a warm breeze blowing is a rare delight. If you are lucky you might even see a monkey saunter by.
