Why do people love staying in your hotel?
Guests enjoy firstly our excellent location in the centre of Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds, and upon entry into the hotel, the warm welcome they receive from the friendly team. The hotel not only has beautiful and comfortable bedrooms but also two fabulous restaurants, a stunning subterranean spa, a deli and wine cellars.
What is there to do in the area?
So much! There are a wealth of wonderfully picturesque Cotswoldian villages to explore as well as the Cotswolds Lakes (for family activities and watersports), wildlife parks, many walking routes, National Trust properties, countless gardens and a fabulous Sculpture park amongst other places of interest. Highgrove, Blenheim and Badminton are close by. Cirencester also acts as a great launchpad for visiting the rest of the Cotswolds, eg Bath and Oxford.
What kind of breakfast do you offer?
Continental buffet breakfast featuring locally sourced produce, followed by a hot choice including a full English or eggs benedict.
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
As well as a delicious breakfast, we offer lunch and dinner ; excellent Table d'hote and A la carte menus are available every day as well as different menus on certain evenings eg curry night on Tuesdays. Those with dietaries and allergies will always find something tasty on the menus too. There is also a choice of restaurants within walking distance offering a selection of fare including Thai, Spanish tapas and Italian.
Which are your most popular room types, and why?
As you can see, we offer a range of rooms and apartments to suit all tastes. Possibly, our most popular room is the feature room as they have something of the history of the hotel about them and they might boast original features which have been embraced, and gone on to influence the decor, be it Medieval, Georgian or Tudor. There are barely two rooms alike in the hotel which gives individuality and character to the property.
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ?
Children under 12 can stay for free at any time of year and we welcome them with their own dressing gowns and toiletries and activity pack. Extra beds fit easily into the bedrooms, and these need to be requested in advance.
What message would you like to give The Hotel Guru readers?

Guest satisfaction is at the very heart of our care of our visitors and we are confident all that the hotel has to offer will ensure truly wonderful memories of the Cotswolds.
