Le Relais de Franc Mayne

Recently restored, the hotel is sparky and original with the nine bedrooms all following a different theme – from Indian to Pop Art and from French country house to Out of Africa. With the pale golden stone house as a backdrop, the landscaped grounds provide an idyllic setting to while away the hours between wine tastings, with comfortable outdoor furniture, a natural chlorine-free pool and acres of vineyards in the distance. Although breakfast is the only meal served here, you’ll find plenty of restaurants in St Emilion, and the hotel’s impressive cellars have walls stacked high with bottles – perfect for a nightcap.
