“A historic building in a traditional village has been transformed into a charming small hotel, off the beaten track. House party feel, with small spa and good food.”

Hotel review

If you’re looking for a hotel in Cyprus with old-world charm, look no further. Stone walls and wood beams set the tone in this attractively renovated 19th-century building (once the home of a British mine manager), set just off the main square of one of the island’s few relatively unspoilt traditional villages. There’s an open fireplace in the eponymous library sitting room (for cool evenings); a shady courtyard café bar (for leisurely breakfasts and hot afternoons); gourmet Mistos Restaurant; steam and mud baths and a hydrotherapy pool. With just eight rooms and three suites (all author-themed), with luxurious marble bathrooms and great big bathtubs or Jacuzzis, the Library never feels crowded, even when full. Staying here is more like joining a house party with a group of literary-minded new friends.
