“Swanky, designer hotel, centrally located and overlooking a harbour. Large, colourful rooms have top-notch fittings - including saunas and whirlpool baths - plus there's a spa with the city's only hotel pool.”

Hotel review

This is not only a swanky hotel but in a swanky location: overlooking the city's oldest harbour, the Leuvehaven; five minutes from the river; and with most of the city's must-see attractions within a 15-minute walk. A striking glass-and-aluminium affair, its 10 floors are themed around the world's continents - Oceania, South America, Polar... - with bold-patterned carpets and wallpapers, and glass lifts to whisk you up and down from the cool-white reception.  All 215 rooms and suites are generous, with floor-to-ceiling windows and classy fittings - Nespresso machines, whirlpool baths, bathroom TVs - as standard. The style is sleek and uncluttered with clean-lined furniture and statement lighting; over half have private saunas. There's a spa and pool on the eighth floor; be warned, the sauna and steam are mixed, and no swimming costumes allowed!  The restaurant offers an international menu, if you are looking for a more vibrant scene there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast on the other hand is extensive and offers great views over the harbour. And there’s a decent cocktail bar, with a terrace for warmer days.
