“Five unique rooms sit in the grounds of the Ock Pop Tok Living Craft Centre, perched on the banks of the Mekong. Bright rooms are adorned with the beautiful textiles which are made on site. Make the most of complimentary bikes and a free tuk tuk into town. Off the beaten track but well worth it!”

Hotel review

Ock Pop Tok: Where East meets West, by name and by nature, for perched on the banks of the Mekong is the Mekong Villa, a charming colonial style dwelling, decorated with stunning local hand-made textiles. The villa houses four bright and airy bedrooms each uniquely decorated. Two rooms look onto a balcony and across the river from where guests can enjoy gorgeous sunsets. The other two look over the tropical gardens across to the Ock Pop Tok weaving centre where busy hands work to produce award winning silks and weaves. Guests are invited to sign up for weaving classes, batik sessions and natural dye lessons. Air-conditioned rooms and bathrooms are rustic, but exceedingly comfortable and without modern distractions such as televisions, radios and mini-fridges. In-room massages and treatments are available upon request. The Silk Road Cafe serves up delicious breakfast, brunch and lunch. The hotel conveniently provides a free tuk-tuk shuttle service to and from town, 2kms away, as well as complimentary bicycles.
