Hotel Review
A luxury down-town outpost of sophisticated relaxation. Guests at the Mokara are never far away from San Antonio's most popular tourist attractions, a few minutes from the world famous Alamo site, and in easy reach of the city centres museums. Closer still is the renowned River Walk, a hotspot of shopping and dining in the down-town area.
Comfortable and spacious rooms with attractive wood and marble finishings overlook the city and the river, with balcony suites available to enjoy the warm summer evenings and sumptuous views, and perhaps a bottle of wine or light night snack from the 24 hour room service. This being a spa hotel, room are also equipped with oversized jetted bathtubs or spa baths.
The impressive Mokara 4 star spa itself sprawls over 17,000 square feet, with 18 treatment rooms offering a range of massages and skin treatments, it also boasts a hair salon, nail services and steam room and soaking pool.
The rooftop cafe serves light dishes and cocktails with a view by the pool, and the Ostra restaurant downstairs boasts a sophisticated and stylish atmosphere and a menu brimming with excellent seafood dishes and a must-try oyster bar.
