Hotel Review
Named for the family who run it, Nobelos began as a simple B&B but over the years evolved to incorporate a spectacularly-situated organic restaurant – still the only one on the island – as well as a serviced private beach. Perched on the hillside above is a tree-shaded house containing four suites, all of which have a private veranda with a sea view as well as a small bathroom featuring a shower and charming old-fashioned washstand. Each room is distinct but traditional in style, their rough-hewn stone walls and polished tiled floors off-set by soft lace curtains and table-cloths, plus pristine white bed linens. Though most rooms have a kitchenette, the food on offer here is a real highlight – from local dishes like souvlaki, expertly made, to super-fresh seafood and salads. Don’t leave without a visit to on-site Thalassa Boutique, which sells stylish locally-made clothing and handicrafts.
