“A charming and characterful 17th century coaching inn in the village of Low Row. Sister hotel to the Charles Bathurst - simple, comfortable with fantastic food and excellent location. Stylish rooms offer fantastic views of the prime walking country of the Yorkshire Dales. ”

Hotel review

Sister establishment to the Charles Bathurst Inn, above, the Punch Bowl, or PB Inn, is a plain, flat fronted 17th century hostelry that stands halfway along Swaledale with superb views of Whita Side opposite as it swoops down from the fell through stone-walled fields to the narrow valley floor and the river. Both CB and PB Inns have the same ethos: straightforward, uncomplicated hospitality; affordable, agreeable and up to date accommodation; excellent food and drink.

The Punch Bowl Inn

"I reflect as I eat that I am enjoying this grub much more than the last restaurant meal I’d indulged in, where the chef was as precious as his tricksy menu and the bill for one would have fed at least two people here at the PB Inn."
