With so many competing guesthouses along this stretch of the Istrian coastline it can be hard to choose your ideal hotel. San Servolo Resort stands out boldly from the bunch with its unique beer spa concept and its mix of classic and modern interior design. Nodding to the variety of tastes in visitors to Istria, the hotel offers a 'neoclassic' room in the adjoining Villa Romantica. Off-set from the main hotel, it offers couples with a more traditional taste a discreet and quiet hideaway. In the hotel proper, modern and stylish design touches complete the comfortable rooms. Whether or not you brave the beer bath spa treatment - a bath in barley and hops designed to rejuvenate the hair and skin - make sure you try the steak at the restaurant and a craft beer produced by the brewery. The most unique feature of this resort, located on the site of the San Servolo craft brewery, is Croatia's first and only beer spa. There's a choice of rooms done up in a either classic or contemporary style, while the heated pool opening up to the outdoors, two saunas and a restaurant are other big draws.
