“Best for families, this lovely four-star, family-run hotel was a landmark when it was built in 1870 and is still the largest hotel in Klosters. Well placed in the middle of Klosters over looking the river and mountains. Great facilities for all ages & only five mins to the cable car.”

Guests are very warmly welcomed at the “Old Silveretta”, built 145 years ago, and acquired by the hands-on Erpenbeck family twenty-five years ago. The hotel has been updated, with comfortable bedrooms, an extensive spa and indoor pool, and yet it still feels pleasantly old fashioned and a little 70s in decor. This is the perfect family choice with connecting bedrooms, the Flipper Club, childcare in winter and children’s menus. There are up to four restaurants depending on the time of year: the Stübli, Rotisserie, Panorama and Grischalina offering tasty local specialities, fondues, raclette, buffets and a la carte menu. Breakfast in the bright, sunny first floor Panorama restaurant, with wooden floors and pretty reindeer fabrics makes a good start to the day. Window tables have panoramic views overlooking snowy mountains and the tumbling river. The congenial piano bar and lounge has a snooker table, offers quiet corners, plenty of comfy sofas and a small library of mostly English books. Ivan the jolly bar man from Croatia has lived in Klosters for thirty years, and keeps guests plied with drinks after dinner including a steady supply of amazing cocktails.
