The Beaumont is the first foray into the hotel market from Restaurant supremos Corbin and King. The building (which some might remember as a car hire office) has undergone a complete makeover and is now beautifully restored to its Art Deco roots (except for the huge Antony Gormley sculpture on the exterior). Inside the art deco homage continues with period furniture and charming black and white photographs adorning the walls. Rooms are spacious with all the five star accoutrements you would expect: super comfy beds, tv/sound sytem with speakers linked up to the bathroom too, Nespresso machines and complimentary snacks and soft drinks. Bathrooms are sumptuous with enormous walk in rainshowers, deep bath and lovely D R Harris smellies. An underfloor-heated mosaic tiled floor adds to the luxurious feel. Dining, as you would expect from a Corbin and King enterprise, is superb. The Colony Grill is a stylish venue and food is excellent with a wide choice from oysters, to omelettes. For those who like to keep fit the basement houses a gym and spa with hammam. Unbeatable location if you like your shopping - just minutes from Bond Street and a stone’s throw from Selfridges. Great for a luxury city break with easy access to all that London has to offer.

Why do people love staying in your hotel? Run by the renowned restaurateurs Corbin & King, it is inevitable that the locally-popular, classic transatlantic Colony Grill Room and the American Bar are at the very heart of the hotel. But more than that, what guests love is that The Beaumont is small and intimate enough for all those staying there to be personally recognised by name and large enough to feature, in addition to the bar and restaurant, a private residents’ lounge and a spa with 24-hour gymnasium and hamam. The personal touch extends to the many bespoke little details that make up a stay at the hotel, from the generous chocolate bars made in the pastry kitchen, the complimentary soft drinks and snacks from the mini-bar to library of books in each room, all selected by founder Jeremy King. The hotel’s position at the western end of a quiet, little-known historic garden square, yet so close to all that is happening in London, is also oft-mentioned by guests as one of the most appealing aspects of the hotel. The hotel’s extensive art collection and art deco interiors offer a relaxing, sophisticated environment, that is warm and cosy. What is there to do in the area or on site? The location is quiet and discreet, yet conveniently just a minutes’ walk from Selfridges and the luxury shops on Mayfair’s Bond and Mount Streets. Art galleries, whether institutions such as the Wallace Collection or privately owned such as Gagosian, are all a short amble away, as are the green expanses of Grosvenor Square and Hyde Park. What kind of breakfast do you offer? The Colony Grill Room offers an extensive a la carte breakfast of hot and cold dishes from 7am everyday, including Continental and Full English Breakfast. Complimentary 'Help Yourself' morning coffee, tea, juices, home-made viennoiseries and preserves are served in The Cub Room every morning, exclusive to guests. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? The Colony Grill Room, a classic grill room offers dishes from both sides of the Atlantic, including lobster à la Russe, New York hot dogs, omelette Arnold Bennett, chicken pot pie, red velvet cake and do-it-yourself ice cream sundaes. A wide selection of classic European and New World wines is available. Which are your most popular room types, and why? (I don’t think we should talk about popular room types) Studios are very popular due to their generous proportions, from 38 to 43m² / 410 to 440ft², the relaxed seating area, dressing area and extensive wardrobe space. The chrome and marble bathrooms are large, with underheated flooring and luxurious, deep baths. Some of our Studios and Mayfair Suites can be interconnected, making them a favourite for larger family groups. What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ? We can add a baby cot or an extra bed to our larger rooms. Special amenities are offered for children staying at The Beaumont: our Teddy Bear, baby toiletries, kids robes and slippers and cupcakes made in house with carefully selected ingredients. Upon request, the following can be arranged: changing mat, baby pillow, infant bath, bottle, bottle warmer, bottle steriliser, buggy, nappies and wet wipes and an electronic monitor.
