“This charming renovated pub sits right on the waterside on the Norfolk Broads. Simple interiors combine contemporary design with rustic touches, from pine fittings to exposed beams; book a luxury self-catering lodge for more living space. Hearty meals available in the pub; a cosy rural getaway.”

Hotel Review
Boasting a great secluded location set in 11 acres of parkland on a quiet, lesser known corner of the Norfolk Broads, The Boathouse is ideal for both discovering nearby sandy beaches and dunes, and the restaurants and attractions of Norwich. Four of the six very pleasant guest rooms look out onto the water, and feature neutral decor with touches of colour such as a pretty wall of butterfly wallpaper, or splashes of gold and bronze on a bed and wardrobe. There are also three self-catering lodges sleeping from four to eight people. The large, welcoming pub restaurant features exposed brick, stripped wood floors and a wood burner to provide some character and serves good standard pub fare with some more adventurous choices, such as BBQ pulled pork and a tasty braised lamb shank.

The Boathouse, Ormesby Broad
If the food was more refined, and the location was North rather than Northeast Norfolk, this waterside pub on The Broads would be rammed. As it is, it feels like an undiscovered bolthole in relatively little-known - and very attractive - part of the country.
