Hotel review

The Obamas stayed in this hotel back in 2008, and owner/resident artist Jan D'Espo has added their potraits to her collection in the hotel. It feels very unique - filled to the brim with unsual antiques, windy staircases and corridors, tapestries and sculptures. Besides that, the rooms are lovely and romantic with dreamy four poster beds and balconies. The roof terrace offers city views and wine tasting treats. The restaurant is wonderful with plain and simple, excellent tapas. Best of all, this hotel boasts its own Beach House not too far away, where you enjoy the sea and sand before pottering back to the city for a classical music soirée in the music room.
