“Lavish, recently restored country inn on a country estate. Much modern art from a famous collector. Bags of character and excellent Mark Hix inspired food.”

Hotel review

More than just a cosy pub with rooms, this 2011 addition to the Norfolk scene is a wonderful place to stay and eat, beside a magnificent deer park. Popular with locals and offering excellent food (inspired by Mark Hix, and with plenty of venison), the 8 rooms are stylishly furnished with well chosen art and prints, and extremely comfortable. Some can be noisy from revelries below, but most offer superb views over the 1000 acre park. The location, close to the beaches and birds of the coast, provides lots of opportunities for exploring.
