“Lovingly restored B&B in Harlem. Cosy rooms with wooden floor boards and fireplaces. A beautiful brownstone building in one of the city’s most culturally vibrant areas. An arty city spot for the young traveller.”

Hotel review

Don’t be afraid of Harlem – this historic area of New York City has had its fair share of down periods. Now though, it’s on an up. Lovingly restored, the Harlem Flophouse isn’t for everyone. The rooms have no TVs and the bathrooms are shared. What you do get though is a beautiful, renovated brownstone building in one of the city’s most culturally vibrant areas. Excellent location for the Lennox Lounge (watch headline acts at bargain prices), the Apollo Theatre and Marcus Garvey Park where there are free performances throughout the summer and autumn months and a free swimming pool during August and July.
