THE JOULE HOTEL
Set deep beneath a magnificent marble-filled lobby is this slice of subterranean cool. The Joule's gem of a spa is quiet and grotto-like, with added touches of space-age technology, like the effervescent vitality pool, the tablet-controlled rain showers and the massage tables covered in six inches of the latest, bounciest memory foam. The kind of place Captain Kirk might beam into during a planet episode of Star Trek, but with far friendlier inhabitants. The staff and facilities are impeccable; the products, from ESPA and Biologique Recherche, first class. Wave bye-bye to jetlag with the Fire & Ice stone massage, combining hot and cold techniques, or kick back with one of the SEVEN manicure and pedicure options - so totally Texas.
