Hotel Review
Located in the charming village of Burford, little seems to have changed since its hey day as the local sheep market. Whilst you can still hear their ubiquitous bleating, The Lamb Inn has certainly come along way since then. For starters it was awarded Conde Nast’s ‘Most Excellent Inn’ Award 2012 and the coveted Lamb Restaurant has an AA 2 Rosette award and a Michelin mention. Awash with flagstone and original wood flooring, open fireplaces and local artworks there is a homely feel the moment you enter. Original features combine well with contemporary colours, giving bedrooms a light and airy feel. Country living is the style here and rooms feature gingham and floral prints without being overbearing. Heavy, antique furniture and local artworks add character and individuality. Bathrooms are of a good size and the Junior Suite in particular is enormous. Whilst there is some stiff competition in the neighbourhood The Lamb Inn holds it own.
