Find luxury in it's most pampering form in this uber chic winery. Rooms are elegantly designed with clean lines, mini kitchenettes packed with delicious treats, and enormous sliding doors leading onto private terraces - where you can sit out against a backdrop of mountains with a glass of wine and overlook the vines as the sun goes down. Staff are, as you would expect, efficient and friendly. The restaurant run by the respected Francis Mallmann is exceptional - be sure to feast on his signature fire-cooked dishes. To complete the experience, The Vines boasts an indulgent spa. Fabulous.

"Without doubt this is a top resort in Mendoza to hole up in if you are serious about wine. Part hotel, part privately owned vineyard plots; super slick and über-modern with fabulous amenities, it has a state of the art winery, extravagant villas and killer Andes views."

"Making use of local resources, such as rocks from the 500-hectare property, the look is rustic-chic. It blends in with nature but still provides state-of-the-art comforts, which can be hard to locate in rural parts of Mendoza."

"The 22 one- and two-bedroom villas are tricked-out and massive, with full kitchens, real fireplaces, spa-inspired bathrooms, and outdoor soaking tubs on private terraces overlooking ponds, vineyards and snow-capped mountains."
