“An ultra-chic boutique property in Edinburgh's buzzy Broughton district. Spacious rooms and suites are done in muted grey hues and come with either huge bath tubs or rain showers as standard, and tall windows for maximum light. Award winning steak restaurant and Bier Keller with terrace. ”

Hotel review

For those arriving by air, 12 Picardy Place couldn't be more convenient: it's less than 100 yards from the final stop on Edinburgh's airport tram line. Waverley Station is an easy five minute walk. For rugby fans, BT Murrayfield Stadium is a 15-minute tram ride. Renting a car? Hertz is next door. As a sightseeing base, 12 Picardy Place is equally handy: most of the city's big draws are within easy walking distance, and Picardy Place is a public transport hub, so more distant sites are also easily reached. Broughton is packed with bars, restaurants and clubs (it's Edinburgh's prime gay nightlife district) so there's plenty to do right on the doorstep. Inside, 12 Picardy Place is all minimalist sophistication. In public areas and bedrooms the colour scheme works tones of grey and cream, with shiny veneer floors. Stone-floored bathrooms have soaking tubs and rain showers. Light floods in from tall windows (double-glazed on upper floors) and wall-sized photos of Scottish scenery set the scene. For on the spot dining, 12 Picardy Place has two 'destination' restaurants – the award winning Steak Restaurant and the Bier Keller for a taste of German street food and beer with outdoor terrace! In a nutshell, Picardy Place is an ideal base for those planning a sightseeing and nightlife break.
