A last bastion of colonial splendour located in the former summer capital of the British Raj. Long before it was a hotel this was the residence of Lord Kitchener and the property still boasts the refined features that one would expect. But since being taken under the Oberoi wing and undergoing modernisation, Wildflower Hall utilises those impeccable vistas with plenty of floor to ceiling windows, viewing platforms and modern glass walls. The pool is a particularly idyllic spot. Aside from the mod-cons rooms could have stayed the same over the years with polished teak wood, ornate hand woven carpets and tapestries; antique lighting and paintings adorn the walls. Bathrooms are marble clad and feature cavernous baths. A top class spa and dining options, including old world charm at Lutyen's restaurant and The Cavalry Bar or enjoy an al-fresco Pan Asian meal at the terrace restaurant. There is even a tennis court dating back to Lord Kitchener's days. A cool escape in the summer months and a wonderland in winter this property is one of the few in India that can be visited all year round.
