Located in a bucolic valley, the town of Paro is one of Bhutan's most visited destinations. Easier to access than other areas due to its international airport, Paro offers visitors beautiful Bhutanese landscapes, ancient monasteries and plentiful opportunities to become acquainted with the local culture. Zhiwa Ling Heritage Hotel offers a carefully pitched blend of luxury amenities and regional tradition in its boutique guesthouse. Boasting a temple, yoga retreats, a meditation centre and spa, this hotel offers guests a variety of ways in which to get to know Paro and its rich tapestry of religion, art and architecture. Guestrooms are split across a number of traditional cottages with views over the Paro Valley. Amenities are first-class, with enormous, Californian beds and Swedish underfloor heating in the junior suites. Regional textiles add a hint of local flavour, while a cosy sitting room provides privacy and comfort for couples or groups.
