  • A few miles further north, but well worth the ten minute drive, the superb Hotel Sackmann is a romantic property in the wild and beautiful Murg Valley. Sixty-five airy rooms are decorated in a pretty, country-house style. All around is the picture-perfect Black Forest. The Michelin starred restaurant serves dishes to die for. Ideal for active holidays, couples and families.
  • Traube Tonbach started life as a tavern back in 1789; it is now a fabulous family friendly five star property with something for all ages. There's a choice of gourmet dining, an extensive spa and for the little ones a kids club and playground. However what draws the majority of guests is access to one of Germany's finest restaurants, the three Michelin starred Schwarzwaldestube.

  • The nearest airport is Baden Baden Airpark, an hour's drive to the north, while Stuttgart Airport is an hour and 45 minutes drive away. However, there are train connections to Baiersbronn from all over Germany, as well as across the border in Swtizerland.
