For Paris Chic

- The Hotel des Grands Hommes is a refined townhouse hotel right on the doorstep of the Pantheon in the 5th Arrondissement. The decor is fantastically 19th century, with some great Napoleonic touches, like formal motif wallpaper and neoclassical objets d’art. But what we’re really recommending it for is the size of its suites, which have a lounge area as well as multiple, or interconnecting bedrooms, so there’s plenty of space for your family to relax. And of course the location is fantastic: opposite one of Paris’z most famous landmarks.
- Close to the Louvre and with a Michelin-starred restaurant probably aren’t top of our list when it comes to choosing a family hotel in Paris, but those are just some of the reasons we love the Hotel Castille and we think your family will too. One of the main reasons we think this is a great family hotel is the range of rooms and room sizes. There are 108 rooms, some quite bijoux and some as large as an apartment, so there’s going to be something to fit you. Its rooms come in a range of styles too; you'll find classic 1930s France in the Rivoli wing, and contemporary France in the Opéra wing. This recommendation might not be for every family, but if you’re looking to treat yourselves then this is a fantastic, centrally located option that you’ll really remember.
- You might guess from the name: the Hôtel Splendide Royal, Paris, that this is another treat of a hotel, though it’s much smaller than the Hotel Castille with only 12 rooms. Because of the fewer rooms there’s not as much choice for families, but their suites are designed to be interconnected if needed, so there’s still quite a few options available. You might think the classically French decor too opulent for children, with its antiques and beautiful fabrics, but they actively welcome families, in their restaurant too. The location in the 8th Arrondissement, close to the Champs-Élysées, means that you’re centrally, and stylishly located too.
