About Senggigi

Perched on Lombok's western coast, not far from the gorgeous Gili Islands, Senggigi is a spectacular beach destination. Fringed by golden sands, the town of Senggigi stretches along almost ten kilometres of coastline, playing host to intimate hotels and expansive luxury resorts alike. Brilliant for fun-loving families as well as romantic honeymooners, the best places to stay in Senggigi await.

Senggigi Beach is a lovely starting point. Kick back with a good book, take a seaside stroll, or swim in the tranquil waters. Nearby Kerangdangan Beach is another favourite; both are magical spots to savour pink-and-orange sunsets over Bali’s mighty Mount Agung with a cold beer or two. You’ll also find paddle boards and kayaks for hire in these spots. For snorkelling or diving, venture to the nearby Gili Islands, famed for their marvellously biodiverse marine ecosystems.

Heading inland, active travellers can hike, bicycle or horse ride through Lombok’s lush interior. Climb Mount Rinjani for panoramic views, and see endemic birdlife in the jungles around the crater lake of Segara Anak or at the Kerangdangan Nature Park. Day trips to Mataram, Lombok’s capital, also come highly recommended — particularly with an expert guide who can help you to delve into local culture through visiting temples and museums. The best places to stay in Senggigi promise refreshing swimming pools, restorative spas and delicious cuisine, perfect for an unforgettable Indonesian holiday.
