About Sentosa Island

Just off the southern coast of Singapore and connected to the main city by bridge and boardwalk, Sentosa is a leafy little island studded with fantastic attractions for fun-loving guests of all ages. A popular weekend day trip destination for Singaporean residents, the island is also home to some fantastic historic hotels and luxury retreats. Whether you’re dreaming of heritage charm or slick, contemporary cool, our list of the best places to stay on Sentosa Island has something for everyone.

Island life, for some travellers, is all about the beach. Sentosa’s top spots for kicking back on the sand are Palawan Beach, Tanjong Beach and Siloso Beach, boasting golden sands fringed by palm trees. Enjoy refreshing swims in the protected lagoon, go kayaking, sailing and paddle boarding, or zoom around on a jet ski or banana boat before soaking up the sunshine back on the shore.

Thrill-seekers of all ages, on the other hand, will adore Adventure Cove Waterpark and Universal Studios Singapore. The S.E.A. Aquarium, one of the largest in the world, is brilliant for those curious about the region’s rich marine biodiversity, whilst Madame Tussauds Singapore is great fun. For a sense of Singapore’s history, visit Fort Siloso or base yourself at one of the best places to stay in Sentosa Island, a former army barracks-turned-boutique hotel.
