  • The Château de Chantore is a stunning château hidden in pretty countryside just seven miles from Mont Saint Michel Abbey. There are just five rooms, resplendent with beautifully embroidered furniture and antique wallpapers. The perfect hideaway for two.
  • Le Landemer is a beautifully renovated farmhouse located right on the coast. Smart accommodation boasts marvellous sea views as well as bathrooms with crystal washbasins. Hotel Restaurant Les Ormes

  • Le Mascaret is a charming small hotel set just back from the coast. The decor is kitsch but not overtly so. Outdoors a lovely terrace and a pool are the perfect spot for unwinding . However, it is the Michelin starred dining that really pulls the crowds.
  • For something a little less high brow, Hotel Restaurant Les Ormes, fits the bill. Primarily a restaurant, the fine dining cuisine blends local recipes with a modern twist.   • La Marine is a bright, affordable, 28 room hotel in Barneville Carteret with modern decor and gorgeous sea views. Some of the more expensive rooms also have private balconies. The seafood restaurant has a Michelin star and there’s a bar and a beautiful terrace.

  • Right down in the south of the Cherbourg Peninsula, close to Mont Saint Michel Abbey, La Ramade is a beautiful converted mansion on expansive grounds. You’re both near to the coast and surrounded by great walking opportunities. Prices start from less than €90 per room per night.
