“Deserving of its five-star rating for the bathtub feature alone, akyra Manor Chiang Mai brings edge to Chiang Mai’s hotel scene. Stylish suites decorated in moody tones feature all the mod cons. Plus there is a rooftop bar and pool with city views. Gourmet Italian dishes can be enjoyed at Italics. ”

Hotel Review
In a city filled with plush places to lay one’s head, Akyra Manor Chaing Mai distinguishes itself as the only 5-star establishment with sleek, contemporary digs. Each of its 30 suites is built around an unusual courtyard-within-a-room concept; more intriguing still, these open-air spaces house creamy coloured, circular baths, surrounded by cool grey stones with views across Chiang Mai. It doesn’t get more zen than that.
The decor inside continues in this vein of restfulness. Black walls, vast expanses of glass, an expansive bathroom and a pillow menu that includes a list of soothing scents all add up to a hotel that takes its clientele’s comfort seriously. For those seeking nightlife rather than a good night’s sleep, the Rise Bar is a snug rooftop spot to enjoy a cocktail by the pool. Downstairs, an Italian restaurant with a wood oven serves up thin-crust pizza to an international crowd.

Why do people love staying in your hotel?
Location has been always mentioned by our new and returning guests. The hotel is right in the center of Chiang Mai, on the hip & chic Nimman Road. It takes only 15 mins time from Chiang Mai International Airport, also in short distance to old town, temples and other tourist attractions. Many of our guests also love the unique design and contemporary facilities featured in the hotel such as the infinite rooftop pool, the gym with latest hi-tech equipments. Though we must say, great food and warm professional service is key reason that we’ve been keeping a high rate on returning guests since opening.
What is there to do in the area?
Nimman Road is the most discovered area and actually the most buzz-worthy street of Chiang Mai. There are plenty of chic boutiques, galleries, bars, coffee shops around the area, which you can’t miss. If you wish to have a cultural visit, old town and temples are as well easily accessible. We are also in walking distance to the Maya Shopping Mall and evening market, which is always nice thing to prepare some souvenirs from there for your families and friends before heading back home.
What kind of breakfast do you offer?
We offer a lightened buffet and a rich a-la-carte breakfast menu of International and Thai styles, aiming to reach every guest’s delights.
Most of our guests start their breakfast with home baked pastries, cold cuts, tropical fruits, yogurt or cereals from the breakfast tower and buffet line, following by two choices from a-la-carte menu, e.g. Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict, Tortilla Chicken, Thai style Khai Krata, or Nutella Banana Roti if you like some sweets in the morning.
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
Apart from our Italics Restaurant, opening full day for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, Niman area is also a good place to discover nice coffee shops and restaurants. You may also consider to borrow a bicycle from our hotel and have a nice ride to the riverside, there you will find some cozy restaurants of your choices.
Which are your most popular room types, and why?
A great thing is that akyra Chiang Mai simply have two room types, the akyra Deluxe Suite of 60 sqm and the akyra Manor Suite of 100 sqm. Both suites have generously spaced bedroom, separate shower and toilet and a signature bathroom of ‘in-room-yard’ design, the one and only in Chiang Mai. For long stay guests, family or some honeymoons, they often like to stay at the Manor Suite, having an extra living room connected to a private balcony. Corporate clients are more into Deluxe Suites for their delegates. All beddings are smartly designed to be able to change between king and twin settings upon guest request.
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ?
Cooking Class is a most recommended activity for parents and children to join together. Besides, our professional Guest Relations Team is always standby to assist families to book their preferred tours. Many likes Jungle Fly, Elephant Camp and bicycle tour.
Extra bed is available, and for children under 6yrs old, we are delighted to offer complimentary daily breakfast, just to make it easier for parents when planning a family trip.
