Hotel Review
La Ferme du Lac Vert (and its little sister La Petite Ferme) is a stunning chalet renovation situated behind the church in the pretty alpine village of Montriond, just outside Morzine. This traditional chalet dates back to 1842, but in 2010 it underwent a complete restoration and renovation resulting in the stunning property that you'll find today. The cosy chalet interiors are very much as you'd expect - plenty of wood, roaring open fire, large picture windows framing gorgeous mountain views - except that the attention to detail is superb. There's been no scrimping on the budget here! Sumptuous individually designed rooms boast wooden floors, exposed beams and beautiful antique furnishings which are complemented by modern paintings and plenty of cow skin rugs! Return from the slopes and you'll be greeted with delicious afternoon tea, followed by drinks, canapes and four-course dinners prepared by AA Rosette standard chefs (catering is provided six nights per week during the winter months). The superb attention to detail is emphasised by additional little luxuries like cowshed toileteries, a chauffeur service to and from the slopes and concierge service to help you arrange any activities or dining out. La Petite Ferme offers more of the same. It's a charming original mazot which now offers two ensuite double rooms plus a mezzanine (with double bed and private bathroom), and spoiling outdoor hot tub. This can either be used as extra accommodation for large parties taking over La Ferme du Lac Vert or is offered as a luxury hideaway chalet for parties of six throughout the ski season (the same gourmet food prepared by a private chef is on offer, as is the chauffering to and from the slopes etc). The property is also open during the summer months (though the emphasis here is on weddings and corporate breaks), when the area becomes a mecca for cyclists (both of the mountain and road variety) and walkers. Plus there's the lovely Lake Montriond where you practise your kayaking or simply relax on the beach with a good book. For a luxury mountain retreat it doesn't get much better than this!

Which are your most popular room types, and why? Each of our rooms were individually designed and styled with their own theme. From our Pleney honeymoon suite with its roll-top bath, our Roc D'Enfer room with its four poster Indonesian bed and Buddha theme, to our Ardent family suite with its built-in sleigh bed, each room really does vary. We have some guests returning year on year, requesting the same room while while others are aiming to sleep in all 11 as the seasons progress.
