Owned for 30 years by one of Verbier’s oldest families the Orieller family who also own The Post, Hotel de Verbier and Orieller Sports. This elegant yet cosy hotel is an oasis from the bustle of the Rue de Médran. From the lovely, light and airy sitting room and bar, where a fire blazes in the winter, and terrace there are glorious views over the glistening Combins and Mont Blanc range. Half of the twenty bedrooms have been renovated (much pricier), perfectly judged, with a contemporary and traditional mix and luxurious bathrooms to match. South-facing rooms are worth the extra cost; wide windows make the most of the views. Hand-painted eggs for Easter breakfasts.
