Hotel Review
It’s the passionate project and personal philosophy of Valentina De Luca and her cousin. Four years ago it was a run-down farmhouse but now there are 19 guest rooms, a dining room featuring an olive press once pulled in a circle by a horse and the ‘sala mangiatoia’, the former feeder for the horses complete with its original trough. On offer are healthy vegetarian-only menus using seasonal and locally-sourced produce.
There’s a liberating sense of space both inside and out. Even at full capacity it feels like one has the place to oneself. It’s all enhanced by the charming purity of the limestone flooring. Ranch-style walls encompass the widespread courtyards and the lemon trees in the patios keep the senses engaged. Inside metal and wicker ware blend well to evoke the farmhouse’s history; the hues are natural and neutral and refreshingly no pictures are necessary as it’s all sufficiently picturesque. The interior is very simple with nooks and crannies now turned into chill-out areas. It typically attracts young couples and families rather than an older crowd.
