Pousada Mosteiro Crato
"In the heart of the rural Alentejo region of Portugal hotels do not come much more imposing than this. The 14th-century castellated monastery is a national monument and is part museum, part pousada (historic hotel). It oozes character, though many will find the modern wing incongruous."
