“Discreet riad in quiet, off piste location by the Medina boundary wall with impressive bathrooms, friendly staff and resident turtle. Good for couples”

Hotel review

The entrance to this spacious French-owned riad could easily be overlooked by passers-by. Behind a sturdy studded wooden door is an airy, plant-filled cloistered courtyard with wicker seats and wooden chairs and beaming smiles from the friendly and inviting staff. The building butts up against the ramparts of the Medina wall on the northern side of the city and has a roof terrace with a hot tub. The rooms, all individual in layout, share a common theme of ochre walls, dark wood parquet-esque floors, fire places, Arabic-style details and all face the peaceful inner courtyard. Each one has a chunky carved wooden bed of a different design and impressive moulded tadelakt bathroom with tubs and showers of various shapes and sizes. Lanterns and rose petals around the bath add a romantic touch. Freshly cooked dinners and tasty breakfasts are served in the downstairs dining room.
