What is there to do in the area or on site? There are a variety of activities in the area including shopping at Seminyak Square and Seminyak Village, hanging out at the Seminyak or Kuta beaches or even at Potato Head Beach Club, Finn’s Recreation Club or Ku De Ta Lounge. An iconic attraction to visit is the Tanah Lot Temple. On-site, we would like to highlight dining at Bamboo Restaurant, our intimate alfresco restaurant overlooking the Main Pool which is open for all day dining or in the privacy of your villa with a wide selection of dishes including a private barbeque option.
Guests can also enjoy a part of Bali Culture with our Cooking Class (ranking 2 of 18 cooking classes on TripAdvisor) at which our excellent chefs will introduce the ingredients first and then guests would have hands-on preparation lessons to create tantalising Balinese flavours.
The Amala offers guests amazing spa and wellness services where our spa therapists, who are well versed in ancient Asian and Western holistic philosophies will help guests relax and focus on spa and wellness treatments.
What kind of breakfast do you offer? The Amala offers three options of an a la carte menu and they include:
* healthy option of a green power smoothie bowl, tropical fruits and yoghurt
* Asian option of miso soup, mie goreng and bubur ayam (chicken porridge)
* gluten free option of gluten free bakeries and pancakes and organic vegetable salad
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? There are also some nice restaurants around the area and they include local at the famous Mades Warung and Merah Putih as well as international cuisine at Metis, Mama San, not forgetting great barbeque ribs and Martinis at Naughty Nuri’s.
Which is your most popular room, and why? Our Spa Villas are the most popular room as guests wake up in a romantic four-poster bed to the blissful sound of birds singing in the trees. They can luxuriate in their own private steam shower designed to facilitate our detox and wellness programs infused with herbal aromas or they can slide into their plunge jet-pool for a refreshing dip. Each Spa Villa includes a sundeck with loungers, an outdoor garden tub which is ideal for a romantic evening soak and sliding doors that open completely to nature.
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? The Amala Seminyak is an adults-only resort and so we do not have any facilities for children.
