Hotel review

Husband and wife duo, Ivan and Sabina converted the abandoned villa with a dream and passion to create an excellent restaurant in Motterone. With Sabina heading up the kitchen, producing excellent dishes inspired by her travels in the U.K and her Grandma's Italian influence, Villa Pizzini is definitely a spot for foodies. The menu is ambitious and although innovative for the area, worth seeking out – especially if you want a break from typical Alpine dishes. All ingredients are local if not directly from the chef's garden. The location can be reached easily by cable car from Stresa or by car. On arrival you find yourself surrounded by beech trees and have a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Maggiore on one side and ski trails on the other. There are 3 rooms to choose from with simple furnishings with a very B&B-type feel. The suite comes with a larger space with the entire top floor including a large bathroom and living area to relax in. The furnishings and design play off the youthfulness of both Sabina and Ivan.
