“Luxury doesn't get much more polished than at the Waldorf Astoria. Elegant suites have a stately feel with private terraces, rain showers, enormous tubs, and far-reaching views. With slick service, a hip roof terrace complete with a saltwater pool, bar, and a restaurant - this is an indugent choice.”

Hotel Review

Although this luxurious hotel only opened in 2017 - at a reputed cost of $200m - its old-style elegance suggests that you’re living in 1950s Hollywood. Located in one of LA’s most exclusive, expensive neighbourhoods, the shopping of Rodeo Drive, and the Sunset Strip are less than a 10-minute drive away. The grand lobby ambience is instantly soothing, with light jazz playing, restful beige and pale green seating areas, copious Italian marble and an open fire under a magnificent chandelier. The 170 guest rooms are no less swanky, with carefully chosen original artworks and wall-to-ceiling windows boasting wonderful views of Downtown LA and the Beverly and Hollywood Hills. A great touch is that the lift talks to you: she even apologises if the ride is taking too long. The fabulous, large roof deck with its panoramic city views has a saltwater pool and hot tub, spa, and fitness centre. The restaurants are perhaps underwhelming, but plenty of choice nearby.

Walford Astoria Beverly Hills

Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills truly — and unabashedly — makes its mark known, towering 12 stories high in a low-rise area. It's bold, classy and uber-posh, merging timeless Art Deco elegance with 21st-century sensibility, and even the most discerning, affluent of guests will feel impressed here.
