“A stylish art and design hotel in the heart of Madrid. The best rooms are designed by Kike Keller and offer a private terrace, bathtub and yoga kit. Check out the exhibitions at the hotel's private art gallery before sampling the restaurant's à la carte menu. A perfect choice for culture lovers.”

Hotel review

Madrid's cultural heart has gradually been shifting away from the saturated tourist centre towards trendy Malasaña; sitting in neighbouring Triball, this converted warehouse-cum-hotel has its finger on the pulse, with a relaxed, stylish redesign by KikeKeller design studio. The fact that the hotel occupies a former industrial building means that rooms are more spacious than most hotels in the centre of Madrid, and come in at great value for money. They are individually styled, with wrought iron and thatched accents. Gan Rugs has provided the traditional carpets that cushion the wooden floors. There is a wellbeing focus at the hotel, with free yoga mats provided in the best rooms. This extends to the room service menu, which offers great veggie options. Down in the bar, be sure to try the barman's speciality cocktails, with spirits he has distilled himself. With a contemporary, laidback and friendly atmosphere, guests quickly fall in love with the 7 Islas.

7 Islas Hotel Review

Fashionable, fun and family-run with affordable rates and cocktails so natural they are almost health drinks. The 7 Islas is the new in-the-know place to stay in Madrid. With customised design and a location in hipster-central Triball, it makes a refreshing change from chain hotels.
