“Muted luxury and glossy modernist surroundings in this palatial building. Large white bedrooms with lots of natural light and rich furnishings - some with Pop Art murals. Scrumptious modern-Mediterranean food, underground spa, and excellent service with a ratio of one member of staff per room. ”

Hotel Review
Built in 1908, the owners of this grand Edwardian pile used to exercise their horses on the roof. It’s functional comfort mixed with belle-époque décor and ironically the fourth floor, where the servants lived, has lovely wide corridors and low ceilings. Room 409 is atmospheric, with semi-circular windows. In the fine basement spa (uncommon in Madrid hotels), do a circuit of the sauna, hot tub, steam room and cold shower before snoozing on the heated wooden recliners.
