The sleek interior is beautifully lit and furnished, with splendid open views of the sea from the full height windows. Scones with clotted cream and jam are served between 4 and 6pm on the day of arrival. Day passes to use the neighbouring Isle of Eriska hotel’s pool and golf course can be purchased, as can local archery lessons with a former world champion. Bliss.
