Why do people love staying in your hotel? We have one of the most idyllic spots in Scotland on the banks of the River Dee. Our guests love our trendy refurbishment along with award-winning food. It’s a winning combination.
What is there to do in the area or on site? Fish on the beat in front of the hotel, golf, walk, cycle, or go geocaching. Plus there are plenty of castles to visit including the Queen’s holiday home at Balmoral.
What kind of breakfast do you offer? Full Scottish cooked breakfast using local ingredients. Plus a cold buffet, a selection of fruits and pastries washed down with a choice of teas and coffees.
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Our restaurant is open for lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch. We serve modern food in a casual style in our bar and restaurant. On warmer days we have a Mediterranean style patio with its own flatbread woodfired oven. Afternoon Teas are also available 7 days a week. Other places we would recommend include Cowshed, Woodend Barn and Feugh side Inn
Which are your most popular room types, and why? Top Notch Rooms are the most popular because you get a stunning view of the River Dee.
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? We have sofa beds, z-beds and cots for children and have rooms specially for families.
What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? Scotland is full of beautiful and stunning places to visit – but we think there is nowhere quite like Royal Deeside. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway coupled with fabulous food and a great night’s sleep, where you can actually hear the River Dee running by, then you won’t regret staying at The Lodge.
