“A grand country house (and one of Hampshire's oldest homes) set in 90-acres of farmland. The two rooms are traditional in design with toile wallpaper, antiques, and fireplaces. Mornings begin with hearty breakfasts and the hosts happily hand out local knowledge. A luxurious rural escape.”

Hotel review

Borough Court is one of the oldest houses in Hampshire with records going back as far as 1333. Once a monastic property the house is at the end of a long private drive and surrounded by 90 acres of grazing pasture, gardens and woodland. Privacy is the name of the game here with just two large double rooms with vast beds adorned with crisp white bed linen and plump pillows. The rooms are spacious, cosy and comfortable; the Chinese Room has two basins in the room, an en-suite bathroom and separate shower and the attic room has a large, bright bathroom up a few steps with bath and large shower, big enough for two. Guests have the use of a large drawing room with a working fireplace and next door in the dining room breakfast is served at a time to suit you. Whilst there are no kettles in the room owner Sophie will leave coffee and tea in the dining room so you can help yourself whenever you like. For breakfast expect fresh fruit salad, croissants, pancakes and eggs cooked anyway you like. A luxurious British B&B experience. The owners have dogs and a cat though the rooms aren't pet-friendly.
