“A country house style luxury hotel. Large and comfortable, each room comes with a private balcony or terrace and ample views. Great restaurant serving organic Mediterranean cuisine. An outdoor pool with a bar. Chic, stylish and totally charming. ”

Hotel review

Ibiza off-season is a joy, as is a stay at this imaginatively conceived hotel which blends modernism with the local vernacular and offers up a myriad of Instagram opportunities! The island landscape is barren and hot in the summer and the architecture, landscape and interiors of Ca Na Xica are designed to cocoon you in calm and restful coolness. There is nothing frilly or fussy to make you feel hot and bothered, just clean straight lines and sophisticated minimalism inside and out. Six bedrooms are located in the main hotel building, overlooking the inviting lap pool which is flanked by a truly spectacular avenue of Cypress trees. The other fourteen premier suites are housed in discreet and simple white-washed buildings, entirely self-contained, set into the landscaped grounds. These suites feature wide sliding glass doors off the sitting area which pull open onto a deep covered porch (furnished with the most comfortable armchairs you could wish for). The luxurious modern bathrooms (with delicious house-brand botanical smellies) front onto their own private cactus garden – a little prickly, but interesting and fun, and reflective of the arid landscape. Salvia, the hotel restaurant, scores highly. The cuisine is as pretty and delicate as the plant it is named after and the staff are terrific, offering genuine smiles and efficient service. The dramatic pool and Cypress avenue are the focal point of the hotel where over-sized sun loungers irresistibly beckon, sheltered by enormous retractable umbrellas which guarantee adequate shade. Adjacent to the pool you have the spa, with its own little beach garden furnished with bright pink pouffes (Instagram strikes again). There is also a fully equipped gym. Ca Na Xica is located in the very centre of the Ibiza so you are well placed here to explore. Nowhere is very far to drive. There are countless lovely coves along the coastline where you can enjoy local seafood and a swim, or head to Pacha, Amenesia, Privilege or any number of other hotspots for some serious clubbing and nightlife. Also not to be missed would be a wander past the super yachts in the marina in Ibiza Town. A glimpse into a parallel world, much like a stay at the exclusive Ca Na Xica.
