“A charming B&B nestled away in Santa Teresa. Just three rooms and two suites in modern retro styles by Brazilian designers. Lovely pool and a little garden of Eden with monkeys, butterflies, fruit trees and a pet turtle. Bohemian vibes make for a relaxing hideaway. ”

Hotel review

Located in the heart of Santa Teresa - home to some of Rio’s best bars and music venues – is this charming b&b in a lush setting. The three guest rooms are decorated in a tasteful mix of modern and retro styles by Brazilian designers: simple (no TV, wi-fi is available) but cool and quiet with ceiling fans or air conditioning. There’s a pool and little garden of Eden with monkeys, butterflies and many fruit trees, some of which can be found in the generous and eclectic breakfast. There’s even a pet turtle who patrols the grounds. The English-speaking owners are a filmmaker and musician, passionate about Rio and happy to pass on their knowledge and tips.

Casa Beleza

"Casa Beleza encapsulates all that is charming about Santa Teresa and its idiosyncratic architecture; turrets, hidden garden passageways, forestloads of original wood on the floors and staircases and views across Guanabara Bay that demand a long cocktail at sunset are all present and correct."
