Down a quiet alley about 15 minutes’ walk from the relative hubbub of the Old Town is this beautifully restored mansion in shades of burnt yellow and terracotta, its second story overlooking a pebbled courtyard dotted with plants edging out onto cheerily painted doors. The building alone delivers Mediterranean sunshine in spades, and the fact that it’s adults only means that you’ll enjoy some peace and quiet too. Friendly owner Emmanuel will be happy to make plenty of recommendations. Operating as self-catering suites (with bakeries and cafes just seconds away where you can take breakfast) the six suites are simple but modern and stylish, with comfortable beds.
